The ADIS16545/ADIS16547 are a complete inertial system that includesa triaxis gyroscope and a triaxis accelerometer. Each inertialsensor in the ADIS16545/ADIS16547 combines with signal conditioningthat optimizes dynamic performance. The factory calibrationcharacterizes each sensor for sensitivity, bias, and alignment. Asa result, each sensor has its own dynamic compensation formulasthat provide accurate sensor measurements.

The ADIS16545/ADIS16547 provide a simple, cost effective methodfor integrating accurate, multiaxis inertial sensing into industrialsystems, especially when compared with the complexity and investmentassociated with discrete designs. All necessary motion testingand calibration are part of the production process at the factory,greatly reducing system integration time. Tight orthogonal alignmentand precision alignment features simplify inertial frame alignmentin navigation systems. The serial peripheral interface (SPI) andregister structure provide a simple interface for data collection andconfiguration control.

The footprint and connector system of the ADIS16545/ADIS16547enable a simple upgrade from the ADIS16488A, ADIS16495 andADIS16497. Note, however, that there is a small difference in samplerate between the ADIS16495 and the ADIS16545/ADIS16547if the internal oscillator is used. The same small difference insample rate exists between the ADIS16497 and the ADIS16545/ADIS16547. Refer to the Specifications section for details about thenative sample rate. The ADIS16545/ADIS16547 are available in analuminum package that is approximately 47 mm × 44 mm × 14 mmand includes a standard connector interface.
