The uP9512 is an 8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1-phase PWM controllerspecifically designed to provide high-precision outputvoltage system for next generation GPUs. The uP9512provides programmable output voltage and active voltagepositioning functions to adjust the output voltage as afunction of the load current, so it is optimally positioned fora load current transient.

The uP9512 supports NVIDIA Open Voltage Regulator type4i+ with PWMVID feature. The PWMVID input is bufferedand filtered to generate accurate reference voltage and theoutput voltage is precisely regulated to the reference input.The integrated SMBus interface provides user the flexibilityto optimize the performance and efficiency.

The uP9512 supports?Smart Power Stage?withcurrent reporting function?application. TheREFOUT provides an input reference voltage for the REFIN pin of?Smart Power Stage.The uP9512 uses the current reporting signalof Smart Power Stage?for channel current balancing. The uP9512 alsoprovides hardware setting to adjust the operating phasenumber in different load current state.

Other features include adjustable soft-start, channel currentlimit, under voltage protection, over voltage protection andpower good output. The uP9512 is available in a VQFN5x5-40L package.
