The uP8806 is an ultra low noise, fast response, high powersupply rejection ratio (PSRR) low dropout regulatorspecifically designed to continuously deliver up to 300mAoutput current. Designed with a P-channel MOSFET seriespass transistor, the uP8806 yields extremely low dropoutvoltage (e.g. 300mV at 300mA).

The uP8806 does not require a bypass capacitor, henceachieving the smallest PCB area. This device reducesoutput voltage noise under 70uV(RMS) and improves PSRRto 40dB at 100kHz.

The uP8806 is designed and optimized to work with lowvalue,low-cost ceramic capacitors. Only a 1uF ceramicoutput capacitor is required for stable operation for any loadconditions.

Other features include foldback overcurrent protection, quicksoft start, and overtemperature protection. The uP8806 isavailable in fixed output voltage from 0.8V to 4.75V with0.1V per step. The device comes in SC70 - 5L,SC82 - 4L,(T)SOT23 - 3L/5L, SOT223 - 3L, WDFN1.6x1.6 - 6L SOT89- 3L and TO252 - 3L packages.
