The uP8814 is an ultra low noise, fast response, high powersupply rejection ratio (PSRR) low dropout regulatorspecifically designed to continuously deliver up to 1.5Aoutput current. Designed with a P-channel MOSFET seriespass transistor, the uP8814 yields extremely low dropoutvoltage (e.g. 400mV at 1.5A) and maintains very low groundcurrent (200uA).

The uP8814 is designed and optimized to work with lowvalue,low-cost ceramic capacitors. Only a 4.7uF ceramicoutput capacitor is required for stable operation for any loadconditions, ideal suitable for portable RF and wirelessapplications where PCB size are specially concerned. Abypass pin is provided to reduce output noise voltage andimprove PSRR to 60dB at 100Hz.

Other features include foldback overcurrent protection, quicksoft start, and over temperature protection. The uP8814 isavailable in fixed output voltage. The device comes in theSOT223-3L package.
