This minimizes voltage drop andprovides a 1.5 A (typical) current limit for circuit protection. Theoutput current capability of the DC-DC switching regulator andregulated LDO bypass can support typical load currents up to3.0 A.\n\nHigh switching frequency operation permits the use of a smallinductor and reduces output capacitance requirements. Reducedexternal component values aid ultrafast transient response needsof cellular RF power amplifier applications. The SKY87006 has alight load power saving mode. Locked PWM operation is madepossible by a MIPI RFFE control register bit. Locking PWMoperation can improve load transient response, which canimprove performance for 2G operating modes.\n\nThe SKY87006 is available in a small Wafer Level Chip ScalePackage (WLCSP), and is rated over a range of -40 to +85 °C.
