The PA05 is a 30A, 100V power operational amplifier that combines exceptional performance in terms of slew rate (100 V/μs) and power bandwidth (400 kHz), while maintaining a very high 250 watts of internal power dissipation. Target applications include motor drives, sonar transducers and programmable power supplies.

Flexibility is the key feature of the PA05. A sleep mode feature allows ultra-low quiescent current for standby operation or load protection by disabling the entire amplifier. Boost voltage inputs allow the small signal portion of the amplifier to operate at a higher voltage than the high current output stage. The amplifier is then biased to achieve close linear swings to the supply rails at high currents for extra efficient operation. External compensation with the PA05 provides flexibility in choosing bandwidth and slew rate for the application.

The PA05A is the A grade version to provide enhanced performance in the areas of offset voltage, bias current and offset current. The PA05 series is housed in a hermetically sealed and isolated JEDEC MO-127 12-pin metal PowerDIP package.
