MT8735B/D is a highly-integrated 64-bit tablet system-on-chip (SoC) for the mainstream cellular tablet market, featuring a 4G LTE modem and full connectivity (Bluetooth, FM, WLAN and GPS). MT8735B/D is the latest evolution in our MT8735 family and delivers first-rate multimedia performance, better processing power, improved connectivity subsystems and lower build costs for manufacturers to successfully develop devices in the global mainstream market.

The chipset leverages the quick performance of quad-core processing architecture using four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.1GHz. Compared to competitors currently in the marketplace, the processing performance can be ~35% better. Added to that is the Mali T720 GPU (up to 550MHz) that’s helping to support an adequate display (up to 1280x800) and Full HD 1080p video playback.

Support for 3GB of LPDDR3 at 533MHz complements the processing specification with responsive memory which translates into engaging visual performance for movies, videos and photos; fast and responsive web-browsing and sufficient gaming capabilities.

Multimedia is where the MT8735B/D platform shines. Camera support has been upgraded to 13MP with Zero Shutter Delay (up 28fps) ensuring that capturing magic moments has never been easier.

The sound performance has also been upgraded to a quality matching the top-tier mobile devices available today, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 105 dBA and a THD of -90dB. Rounding out the multimedia package is the inclusion of MediaTek MiraVision, a suite of display enhancement and photography technologies to improve picture quality while ingeniously extending battery life.

With four advanced radio technologies bundled together, MT8735B/D offers a superior and convenient modem subsystem solution: ARM? Cortex-R4, DSP and co-processors integrated into a single chip.

An extensive set of interfaces are also included for cameras, touch-screen displays and MMC/SD cards.
