The AAT3200 PowerLinear OmniPower low dropout (LDO) linear regulator is ideal for systems where a low-cost solution is required. This device features extremely low quiescent current, typically 20μA. Dropout voltage is also very low, typically 200mV. The AAT3200 has output short-circuit and over-current protection. In addition, the device has an over-temperature protection circuit which will shut down the LDO regulator during extended overcurrent events.
The AAT3200 is available in a space-saving, Pb-free SC59 package. The device is rated over a -40°C to +85°C temperature range. Since only a small, 1μF ceramic output capacitor is required, the AAT3200 is a truly cost-effective voltage conversion solution.
The AAT3201 is a similar product for this application, especially when a shutdown mode is required for further power savings.
